Fortifying BASIPRODUCTS

Vitamins and minerals
Taking advice from many experts we have meticulously selected plants, which free roaming horses would choose to make their body function properly.

To reach new standards in feeding supplements we have fortified BASIPRODUCTS with minerals and vitamins. We had very hot discussions, whether or not we should do this. The New Idea of Feeding dictates, that we must never supply any ingredient, that is of no use to the body. Minerals, that are important to the body, must be of high quality, but these minerals are very expensive.

Choosing the right kind of minerals
Under the conviction, that animals can extract minerals from rocks, the minerals, that are used for most animal feeding, are cheap rock minerals, which pass through the body with no postive effect. The amount of minerals that go in is the same as what goes out. Only experts know the difference between minerals, but to the ignorant customer the description of contents looks plausible.

Even more appalling is the fact that companies, trying to attract customers, put more and more minerals and vitamins into the feeding, not caring that it turns poisonous in large quantities! Sometimes you should think that the amount of minerals and vitamins in horse feeding is designed for elephants or even dinosaurs! Animals can’t survive without selenium, cuprum or magnesium, but in an excessive amount they become dangerous.

Vitamins that stay active

The same with vitamins! Most vitamins can be in different shapes: for example vitamin A in at least 5 different forms, vitamin D in 5 forms, and vitamin E in 3 forms. The body of the horse can use some of the forms, while the others just pass through. A too high amount of vitamins is bad, because it can stop the body in producing its own vitamins.

The next problem with vitamins is to save them during the manufacturing process. Most vitamins are destroyed at 40 C. The producer can state that his feeding contains any amount of vitamins, but after heating it is always zero!

So, it was really hard work to select the right minerals and vitamins for BASIPRODUCTS and develop proper technology to save their quality. This keeps BASIPRODUCTS beyond comparison with other feeding supplements.
